Released in 2004, “Saw” is an American horror film that marks the feature directorial debut of James Wan. The screenplay was written by Leigh Whannell, based on a story the two co-developed. The film stars Leigh Whannell and Cary Elwes as two men who awaken to find themselves chained in a decrepit, industrial bathroom. Faced with a terrifying ultimatum, one must choose to kill the other; failure to comply will result in dire consequences for his own family.
